Check both In-District and Out-of-District providers for Medicaid Provider status prior to submitting Medicaid claims and throughout the school year
Notify both In-District and Out-of-District providers monthly of current eligible students
Provide monthly missing list to the Director of Special Education
Notify both In-District and Out-of-District providers of missing Medicaid information
Print Session/Treatment logs from IEP Direct for Medicaid claim submission
Reconciliation of Medicaid Remittance Statements and resubmission of rejections
Assist Director of Special Education with Compliance Program, Random Moment Times Studies (RMTS) and Medicaid Cost Reporting
Assist District in maintaining Relevant Employee Training
Assist Finance Department with Medicaid Cost Report (upon request)
Assist District in obtaining Medicaid Parental Consent Letters
Audit representation for claims submitted during contractual period(s)
Report to Director of Special Education, Director of Finance on the progress of Medicaid in Education Program and all Medicaid Changes (via Medicaid Alerts issued from NYSED)
Review/Audit Medicaid files
Attending all County, State, District RIC and Federal meetings (applicable to Medicaid and CNYRIC programs)
Conduct training sessions in conjunction with NYSED, NYSDOH, OHIP and OMIG (when applicable) to Special Education staff, Finance staff and all service providers on Federal regulations/guidelines with regards to the Medicaid in Education Program
Direct contact with SED, DOH, OHIP, OMIG and MMIS/CSC
